Honys Torres is a self-taught artist, Venezuelan (1969). She has participated in numerous Art Salons, collective and individual exhibitions in her country of origin and has received several recognition for it.

Her work is represented in various private collections, institutional and public, among the most important are : The Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas (museum that has one of the best collections of Latin American art), the Alejandro Otero Museum of Caracas, Museum of Contemporary Art of Cumana and the Museum Mateo Manaure.

She develops her work in the genre Neo Pop, transcending the symbolism of images to an area always framed in the current political, cultural or social events. Build a plastic universe full of referents of popular prints: icons, logos, symbols, characters and images identified with the common of our lives that gravitate in the space of our memory and those are easily recognizable by the viewer, which come together to establish a moralizing discourse, critical and even sarcastic of reality.
