Become an insider of the Swiss art world: meet emerging artists, find the story behind their art – how they work and where their ideas come from.
For the next (virtual) fireside chat, we have invited Alethea Eriksson, abstract painter born in South Africa and living in Baden, to share her stories, art and insight. Her paintings are inspired by what she finds beautiful in nature or in the urban environment. They are atmospheric and evocative and offer the viewer an open contemplative place to find – or lose – themselves for a moment.
She paints on canvas, wood panels or paper using acrylics, oil pastels, inks, sand, ash, bitumen, various papers and tapes; or oil colour mixed with a cold wax medium.
In an intimate virtual chat setting, we’ll get the opportunity to hear about her art journey, get insight of her creative inspiration and ask her questions on her original technique. We’ll also have time to network and chat with other art-lovers in the Swiss community.
